Where id you download from? The usual suspects don't appear to have these performances.

Buy Moeran - Complete Piano Works by Eric Parkin from Amazon's Classical Music Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders.

... only one left from Amazon, so interested Forumistas will need to race!
Just delivered - and the delightful J Martin Stafford included a copy of the Eric Parkin Geoffrey Bush CD as a bonus. Very decent of him. This thread is proving to be expensive as, having no Alkan whatsoever in my collection, I've just ordered the three Yui Morishita CDs from CD Japan (I had points which needed to be used). Looking forward to hearing them/geeting to know Alkan's music (loved the Tom and Jerry clip, btw).

Quite a serious session tonight. A mixture of CDs and 16 bit downloads.

All English composers and underrated, IMHO.

Mark Bebbington is doing a lot for British pano music. We should commend him.

                        Edward Elgar - Enigma Variations
                        Ashley Wass, Piano. Naxos

This CD arrived thursday. This is my third play-through.

Wonderful paired-down arrangement on a single piano. Really gets to the dynamic range of this music.

I'm not big on Elgar, but this and the later works (piano quintet, string quartet & violin sonata) are floating my boat, right now.

Definitely worth having, IMO. A very enjoyable alternative to the usual version.

I would also highly recommend this version o Elgar's finest work:
