Yes, those are excellent performances. There are also Una Hunt on ASV and Eric Parkin ( not sure which label). I like them all in different ways.

I can confirm that the Cobbe Collection Trust still puts on regular recitals at Hatchlands. The 2018 programme will be published in February. For anyone interested in a worthwhile cause to which to donate this Christmas, the Trust's Adopt an Instrument scheme ensures a future for formerly splendid historic instruments fallen on hard times.

It doesn't exactly "pronounce" itself, does it! I think it's just "J. Martin Stafford", with the number "JMSCD2"

Sergio Tiempo & Karin Lachner play the piano duet version of Daphnis on a CD on which Argerich plays La Valse (with Tiempo), Ma Mere l'Oye (with Alexander Mogilevsky), and the Piano Concerto in G (with Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, conducted by Jan Kaszpszyk) - but I can't find any on which she herself takes part in a Daphnis performance.
I will have a look Ferney.

Had a look and it can be found in Live from Lugano 2007. Thankfully my CDs are well sorted!

I think that that's Tiempo & Lechner, Bbm - I don't think MA is playing on that piece.

Just shows how good Tiempo & Lechner are, though!

For me quite a lot of different composers & styles:

                  Beethoven
                  Schubert
                  Debussy
                  Glazunov
                  Rachmaninov
                  Prokofiev
                  Bax
                  Barber
                  Copland
                  Sessions
                  Griffes

In no particular order of preference.

I forget to add Elliott Carter, his Piano Sonata being among my favourite compositions for piano.

I have the Lyrita disc which has Parkin playing compositions by Moeran and Baines. I bought it on the basis that while I like each of them a lot I doubt that they are high enough in my list preferences for me to want complete collections. With hindsight, there are some serious omissions - not least the Delius like "Summer Valley". That is included on this Parkin disc:

Yes I do have that Parkin CD... thanks for reminding me. Wonderful though it is, I now think that I couldn't do without the addition of the
Honeybourne and Hunt surveys, each of them revealing new insights into this woefully neglected composer's piano music.

SC, I was playing a recording of Bax's piano duos recently. Very absorbing music!

Going back to Alkan, I've recently been listening to my Yui Morishita recordings in the car. He really is phenomenal! I had to download them as mp3s as the physical discs are not available in the UK except via eBay at a ridiculous price!
                              Best regards,
                              Jonathan

Was it the Chandos disc from 90s? Nice & enjoyable disc.
