What compositions and performances are not on disc that you would like to be on disc?

A terribly worded question but I don't know how else to phrase it. In an ideal world people with influence would look in and then decide to fill in the gaps. But it is also a golden opportunity for forum members to say "ah you are wrong....it is available on Hyperion, Naxos etc". Here are my twenty starting points as a way to trigger other contributions:

Crosse - The Demon of Adachigahara
Samuel Jones - Symphony No 3
    Skerjanc - Symphony No 5
Regine Crespin - Songs by Duparc
    Bravnicar - Hymnus Slavicus
    Hrusovsky - Piano Concerto
Durey - More than is on offer at present
    Rochberg - Symphony No 3
    Cikker - Selanko
Ramirez - Works other than the Misas
Eric Fenby - Ilkla Moor and any other works?
Clarence Cameron White - Assorted works
    Schneider-Trnavsky - Symphony in E
    Helen Hopekirk - Various
    Geraldine Mucha - Various
    Violet Archer - Various
    Ludovic Lamothe - Assorted works
    Ernest Walker - Assorted works
    Maddalena Fagandini - Assorted works
El-Dabh - More than is on offer at present

An odd list, perhaps, but by definition it is.............around the edges.

One of the really weird ones to be elusive is Rhosymedre although I have now found it, sort of, by the Salvation Army Band.

So glad you took the initiative!

There's a few recordings of Igor Oistrakh on HMV/Melodyia that have yet to be transferred to cd as well as recordings by Alan Loveday.

I'm still waiting (twenty years after NMC promised it) for the DECCA "Headline" LP of Ferneyhough's Terrain to make it to a CD transfer.

A recording of the complete Carceri d'Invenzione cycle would be most welcome, too.

And the Dillon Nine Rivers cycle, and Richard Barrett's Construction 'd both be nice, too.

Graham Fitkin: cello concerto (premiered in 2011 at the Proms by Ma).
It used to be on youtube but I could not find it just now.
I remember being impressed by it and would like to hear it again.

Slightly OT, in that it was indeed recorded in concert by Bob Woolford, but attempts to trace the master tape(s) have, to date, proved fruitless (though a poor quality cassette copy of extracts has survived): John Tilbury's "The Sound of Music", given at Wigmore Hall, October 16th, 1970, featuring keyboard music of Beethoven, Gibbons, Bull, Byrd, Ravel, Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Purcell, Mendelssohn, Ivanovici, Isham Jones, Debussy, Harry Warren, Dohnanyi, Schubert, Czerny, Schumann, Daquin, Rameau, Bach, Webern, terry Riley, and other.

Rattle's VPO Dream of Gerontius. I hope this may be released one day, though not with the BBC's compressed sound from the Prom performance.

I would imagine that there would be a LOT of lawyers involved in releasing that particular recording.

Any of the as yet unrecorded two piano or piano duet music by Liszt, plus any of his unrecorded orchestral music.
                      Best regards,
                      Jonathan

Cipriani Potter. There are 3 recorded symphonies, which leaves 6 existing and at least one lost symphony, 4 piano concertos and several overtures and smaller works (as well as chamber music). There are some radio broadcasts of a few of these pieces lurking in the depths of the internet, but that's it.

Ferrier's recording with Pears and Britten of Abraham and Isaac.

This 'non-recording' even had a catalogue number announced. Even though it was before I was thought of, I once owned the issue of Gramophone with this advert
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Ha! I've sort of got the Nine Rivers cycle on CD - transferred straight from the H&N broadcast from c.2015

Speaking of Decca Headline - has Henze's excellent songcycle Voices ever been reissued on CD?
