I see Conus in Lats' list in #107. I know only the rather lovely Violin Concerto (which I knew from Perlman's recording, coupled with the Korngold - and where he was spelt "Konus", which made the record easier to shelve*):

Yes indeed ferney. I know this work by Julius Conus or perhaps Yuly Konyus. Initially I believed that Julien or Jules as he is often commonly known was the only Conus of any note. However, there were also his brothers Georgi and Lev - and Serge the son of Yuly. And yes too to an alphabetical order - within regional sections, cross-national if not so precise.

Debatable. Given the number of composers who Boris Pasternak entertained in his home and his own rare ambitions in the field of classical composition it is quite possible that his artist wife Evgeniya, born Lourié, wrote classical music too. The Janice or "Jan" Lourie who was a pioneer in CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacture) for the textile industry frequently played the tenor shawm and psaltery in chamber music concerts. She must have written music. Did Eugene, the sole art director for Renoir's La Grande Illusion and Chaplin's Limelight, venture into classical composition, especially in his monster film period, I wonder? And then there is Hugh Laurie but he alas is not the same thing.

Kazimierz SEROCKI (b Torun, Poland, 1922, died Warsaw, 1981) used to be much more frequently performed & broadcast in Britain in the 1980s than he is these days. Following a broadcast of his Symphony (which I neglected to record) I got a copy of the score. AFAIK, never been broadcast/recorded since! It's not even on youTube - but other works of his are, some with a video of the score, including this marvellous piece:

Kazimierz SEROCKI (b Torun, Poland, 1922, died Warsaw, 1981) used to be much more frequently performed & broadcast in Britain in the 1980s than he is these days. Following a broadcast of his Symphony (which I neglected to record) I got a copy of the score. AFAIK, never been broadcast/recorded since! It's not even on youTube - but other works of his are, some with a video of the score, including this marvellous piece:
