As a romantic, I love the idea of people huddling around a radio listening to crackly, grainy sounds of Little Richard or Buddy Holly back in the 50s, with any ideas of sound quality not even being on the horizon - but I must say that that Macmillan CD was so much more enjoyable being played on my present equipment compared to my system of 25 years ago (even though that system was good for the time).
