I have found that avoiding the consumption of Radio 3 between 09:00 and 12:00 on weekdays tends to somewhat alleviate the symptoms.

... one of the first things I look at in the Radio Times is to see who is on from 9 to 12.

There is an immediate reaction, joy or gloom...

When I look at the online schedule (gave up on Radiotimes* over a decade ago) it's the prospective musical content which catches my eye and gives rise to smiles or frowns.

            "Total immersion" therapy?

or (at the opposite end of the spectrum) homeopathy?

So is Roger Wright … (not relevant here - just my immediate thought )
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Must admit that my encounters with RW I did not lead me to form a similar opinion regarding his persona. What I observed was either a scowl or a Pan Am smile.
