I've just seen a post from the a Minnesota Orchestra that says that Meastro Skrowaczewki had a stroke on Sunday and was operated on. His family say he's doing well.

Despite many health issues and great age, he has continued to conduct some inspiring concerts, available as videos on the net or through live radio streams, as well as the recent LPO Bruckner cds.

Not that much of a bargain. I bought the set a couple of years ago for around two thirds of today's Europadisc asking price. I was briefly tempted by the Martinu julietta listed there, until I discovered it was sung in a German translation.
