If the political rumours are to be believed, he would be the choice of everyone at the BBC other than John Humphrys.

(I'm for Grace in terms of the deceased - and probably the living)

Which particular "political rumours" might those be? and might you suppose in any case that the possibility that he would not be Humphrys' choice be down to frustration at his (Humphrys') vain struggles to master such works as Ne songe plus à fuir, praha, von hinter dem Schmerz, folio or tegmen?...

I wonder if Humphrys fils might be up for/to it?

Dunno, but perhaps his father could consider interviewing Mr Varoufakis on Today in an attempt to find out; such a conversation might even turn out to be sufficiently enlightening to reveal whether he can cope with Nomos Alpha and Kottos, provided that said père could find some way to curtail his customary habit of Kottos interruptus...

Not too sure about that final comment. After all, his adopted catch-phase is "I've started so I'll finish"'.

Ah, yes, indeed; I must confess to having momentarily overlooked that! (and, for the hapless contestant, ne songe plus à fuir at least until one has answered all the questions, peut-être)...

                (A very good question though)

Two questions, actually! (although they might not both be "very good")...

"What's so great about Bach?" asks the link. Don't ask me, chum!

No I haven't, though I might - I was making an ironic observation in regards to the BBC's strange use of language.

Nothing strange about the Beeb using language in such a way, surely. They do it all the time.
