Everything seems to have happened in Hay and Bristol.
So 'nation-wide'? I don't think so. and if one of the attractions was Derham/BBCS, then, thanks but no thanks.

Being deprived of iPlayer and youtube (poor connection), I turned on Radio 3 and heard familiar tunes. It took me sometime to realise that it was Carmen. Carmen Rehabilitated was how it sounded to me. A lot of clapping in-between and a great cheer went up at the end. It sounded as if the concert was for Friends and Family and not for the public broadcast.

Being deprived of iPlayer and youtube (poor connection), I turned on Radio 3 and heard familiar tunes. It took me sometime to realise that it was Carmen. I turned on Radio 3

I did too - or tried to - at one point this evening and seriously thought there was a DAB malfunction whereby Radio 2 was coming out on the 'Radio 3' setting. (I've not listened to any 'live' R3 lately other than TTN so when 'Music Day' was due to happen had passed me by)

Why does 'Music Day' lead to Radio 3 turning into a Radio 2 sound-alike?

I switched on only once all day and saw the reference to the BBC Singers. Why punish yourself? I switched off.
Still, it's back to Radio 3 tomorrow, with A McG.
