So 'nation-wide'? I don't think so. and if one of the attractions was Derham/BBCS, then, thanks but no thanks.

It sounded as if the concert was for Friends and Family and not for the public broadcast.

Why does 'Music Day' lead to Radio 3 turning into a Radio 2 sound-alike?"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I harped on long enough about how awful it looked as if it was going to be that I was too discouraged to listen. It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
