Utterly fascinating, particularly on latest diagnostic and curative procedures. Toby Spence story maybe we needed in more detail?
BUT, to my great surprise, no touch on the following:
1. How do we sing in tune? Link between brain / calibration of pitch etc / self-checking modification techniques to stay in tune / correct mistakes. Not a word.
2. Surely one of the more interesting phenomena in the singing field is the case of the boy's voice, 'the shift / break/change' in early puberty - what happens, what survives, why are some boys never able to sing full range ever again? why are some perfectly able to sing more or less immediately in their 'new ' voice? what determines whether a boy is tenor or bass or can sing / develop adult alto? Genetic?
MANY huge questions.
My guess is that a good number of Forum members will have excellent answers to these questions.
