Looks a bit like Mr Turnip, also at his best in the 50s.

This bizarrely reminds me of a film called Air Doll which features the excellent Korean actress Bae Doona

3 more moves and I'm sure we'll end up with Kevin Bacon

          The real Frank

Panic on the streets of Timperley. Filmed by Applehead Media in the late 80`s in and around Timperley.I even appear in it as the film crew. Loads of laughs ...

PS ... Oh dear, it looks like he's passed away as well.

Is it obligatory for people involved in 'classical' music to like Sinatra now? I do hope not, because I don't.

I don’t think so, Mary. It’s just that a lot of us enjoy / enjoyed popular songs along with classical music. To me, the Sinatra Prom was a disservice if not a plain insult to both popular songs and classical music. They are two separate things.

Good for you, Mary ... the refreshingly reasoned voice of anti-Sinatra Political Correctness at last!

It certainly appears it is obligatory at the BBC judging by the repetitive and quite absurd adulatory outpourings of Presenters on R4's Today programme yesterday.

What the, by now, very common adulatory outpourings of Presenters on R3 were like I shudder to even begin to contemplate ...

One way of dealing with Sinatra bores

From the Spinal Tap archives....The scene in which Tommy Pischedda labels the group as "fuckin' Limeys" was originally MUCH longer, largely focusing on his F...

Some (I imagine many on this thread) of us simply like / liked Sinatra’s singing. As far as I am concerned, I have not heard a word mentioned about Sinatra on Radio 3, on the programmes I have been listening to, that is.

I thought this thread was refreshingly apolitical. You don’t need to be on the lookout all the time. Relax. Christmas is coming.
