Does the Corrette booklet have much info? (Just wondering - in my drive to "stop buying CDs unless I know I really want them"). I see its available on Naxos Music Library but for Brilliant you don't get the PDF booklets . Here's my Yuletide Overture (begun in 1995, but put aside very often!) including the names of the 18 carols used. Of course it's awful computerised sound which I haven't prettyfied yet since I've decided to add a harp first. Try to ignore all that and just listen to it as music. It's about 11 minutes. There's an early picture, too, but I don't know when it was taken...

Sorry, but I'm not at home with my collection at the moment, so can't take a look. Brilliant Classics usually have some sort of documentation, especially for releases recorded for themselves, which is the case here. Glad to see some others have given it a listen - sorry that you can't get hold of a cheap copy, Vints, but you should be able to get it from other sellers such as Presto at a good price. There is another recording of the pieces from the Canadian group Arion, but I prefer the very warm-sounding version on Brilliant.

Bbm....yes, he is well worth listening to! There are a surprising amount of versions of his six organ concertos, which are great fun. I have this one:

mAY I recommend Black Dyke Band, conducted by Nicholas J Childs, A Christmas Carol.
An adaptation of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. With appropriate music to the scene just played etc. Very good.
