Jurowski to Berlin...

As usual, Lebrecht is sloppy with his facts when he stated that Jurowski "will succeed Marek Janowski next year". Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, as at the time, the Berlin RSO didn't have a formal announcement as to when VJ would start. Now they do, and VJ will start in 2017-2018, not next year:
"Vladimir Jurowski wird neuer Chefdirigent und Künstlerischer Leiter des Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchesters Berlin (RSB). Der 43-Jährige übernimmt die Position mit Beginn der Saison 2017/2018 als Nachfolger von Marek Janowski."
That aside, it is an interesting alignment of the orchestral stars that 3 Berlin orchestras will undergo chief conductor transitions within such a close time gap, with the announcement today of Robin Ticciati's appointment to the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, starting there in the same season as Jurowski with the Berlin RSO. From what I can tell, it still seems up in the air when Kirill Petrenko jumps into the fray with the Berlin Philharmonic full time.
