Too late for me. I must say I find the D'Hondt voting system annoying. It seems rather patronising to the Great British (N.I. has STV) electorate. I want to be able to vote for people, not a single party's list.

In EU elections - and especially this year! Percentages matter....so I consulted Gina Miller's website to decide on a tactical vote....

          So - Lib Dems here....

If you don't use it, you lose it....

Much as I do not like the D'Hondt voting system, I must admit it made no real difference on this occasion. All my preferences would have gone to the Greens anyway.

SNP here for this anti-Bexit person! I'll never forgive the Lib Dems for being so eager to jump into bed with the tories. Austerity and, oh yes, tuition fees!

Quite! The Lib-Dem MPs in that coalition all got their tertiary education paid for by the UK tax-payers, like most of us here, I would guess. Their about-face on this issue put them right out of consideration, for me.

I was rather hoping Pablo Heras-Casado, age 41, would get the Philharmonia job.

Its a rare day in this part of the world that a person can vote for a Labour candidate, ( or preselected group of them which rather resembles a selection box of chocs where you know you won’t like at least one of them, and now I think about it, probably one of the soft centres ) in the hope that one of them might just actually get elected.
Not that I necessarily did that, just saying.....

Business was apparently “ steady all day “according to my source.
But then its pension day, and just a short walk up to the Post Office.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

But on these lists it is more difficult to avoid the hard ones on the far left of the box! Thinking about it where you live, we had the same A4 sheet of candidates. It seems a strange democratic system that there are party blocks rather than having a free choice of any six candidates!

Yes but they did a good job of moderating the tories’ extremes then got stuffed by them in the next general election when the toriies claimed them all for themsleves!

                            Surprised by some comments here.
The point about voting Lib Dem in the NW EU elections was that it was the best chance of reducing the number of seats won by Brexit-supporting parties, as the site I linked to explains.

All very well to vote with your conscience but what if it is wasted by split votes, and simply ensures Brexit Party/UKIP win more?
With so many divisions/options, it really is time to consider one's vote differently...try your best to make it count.

No mention yet of Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla? Doing really fine work with CBSO. 35, Lithuanian.

There's an interesting piece by Richard Morrison in The Times today where he discusses this very topic.
