I see they're about to do a re-release of 'Yellow Submarine' to cinemas next month to mark its 50th anniversary.
Hey Bulldog - one of the great Beatles' songs, I think.

You’re untangling Bare Wires there jc and a rich vein of Mayall’s 60s Bluesbreakers line-ups, the alumni were the Cream of a crop of white boy blues, prog, jazz and pop musicians.

Do you think he rested on his laurels later, cloughie?

And two months later, its time for this.

Roddy at his magical best. When he gets it right, boy does he get it right.

And from the sublime to the not too ridiculous, but also quite interesting, I noticed today that this one is one of those rare Major verse/ minor chorus songs.

Didn't expect to hear it on R3 Breakfast either......

Not sure where the hair and beat-up guitar went, but I'm assured it's Willie Nelson here showcasing a few of his favourite tunes back in the early 60s.

Wonderful at their best.great song, fabulous intro.

                      A few observations :

When my electric toothebrush goes on to intermittent to show that 2 minutes brushing is over, it does the EXACT same rhythm as the “ Sus - Sus -Sus-Sus -Sus- Sus Sus Sus Suspect device “line, so that song comes into my head twice a day.
Suspect device has one of the greatest B sides ever in Wasted Life.

Bath Pavilion on the Nobody’s Heroes tour was the single most violent concert I ever went to. But They still gave a great performance.

I'm not really a fan of dogs as a nation; more of a cat person myself; though I tend more to like the odd individual, like my brother's dog Murphy and my Pal Rory's pug Gus, but I kinda love Loudon's take on the whole dog stuff, though I hate the sh**!

The amazing thing is that, yes booted and suited for the early sixties but to my ears, his sound is not at all dated - what great songs. As easy then as now!
