My concert going over the years...

May or may not be of interest, but I started a project to go through my old concert programmes and build up a record of concerts I've gone to since I started back in the early 90's... thought I'd share... there also links to scans of the concert programs which I find interesting (old adverts etc...) I also have a interest in timpanists so have a separate column for timpanists!!

Was wondering if other people did this or was it just me!?

One person who did was Mr T A Nugent of Bootle; I wish I'd known him; he must have been a fascinating character. He listed and catalogued every concert he attended, and in his copies of the miniature scores ruled a table listing the dates,the artists and even the timings . He also catalogued all his books with a home-made system that made Dewey Decimal look amateurish. I have (enclosed in an old LP he bought second-hand in the 1960s ) a letter and a post-card carefully preserved, detailing the transaction.

I often wish I'd kept better records of the concerts I attended in the 1960s and '70s, as I now remember one work that was played but not the rest of the programme. So i Say bravo! to you, parkepr.

Oh yes, A is Concert Number... and B is the order of the works (however that needs a little work as many are in the wrong order...
So for example, my last concert was No.166 and the 1st work was Julius Eastman's 2nd Symphony
