I was surprised to find this morning that the Emerson Quartet are coming round again, with a visit to the Menuhin School later this year. I had thought that they'd done a "farewell tour" a few years ago, but perhaps their plans changed. The cellist is now Paul Watkins. I think I saw them last with Menahem Pressler - who was amazing.

Had this to say in post #959 on the 'What was your last concert' thread.
"Last Sunday afternoon - Emerson Quartet RFH
Haydn - Joke
Ravel - F
Beethoven - Op.130 with GF finale
For me, it didn't really get going until the LvB."
