Mozart's C Minor Mass is an unfinished work. I first experienced the work when a student, playing the oboe part. The section that impressed me the most was the Agnus Dei, which used the music of the opening Kyrie.
I was most disappointed to discover that Mozart never composed it that way, and that the ending was a copy of Sussmayer's idea for the Requiem.
I was reminded of this "completion" when I was asked to sing in a performance of Philip Wilby's completion (June 21st) but the orchestral parts were not available, so we've had to stick with what Mozart left.
Are there any forumites with experience of any other completions of this work?
