    Mozart at McDonalds

    No joke.

Called in a South Manchester McDonalds for a late afternoon snack and coffee.
Amazed to hear Mozart being played.
Not the usual Eine Kleine stuff neither.
The last movement of the 2nd Piano Quartet, part of an early Piano Sonata and String Quartet, all on a kind of loop interspersed with some Handel and a Baroque Oboe Concerto.
    Whatever next ?

any orchestral stuff? Maybe the Fries burger baroque playing something?

Perhaps they will improve their pop music offer too.

maybe some Pattie Smith would be good?

They could perhaps use that if transposed down a fifth from G into the K F C (minor.)

        Light summer jacket time....

            WHY ?

            It's NOT food

Soylent Green is a 1973 American science fiction film directed by Richard Fleischer and starring Charlton Heston and, in his final film, Edward G. Robinson. ...

                  Pizza Hut on Hen's Legs?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Marvellous. On a related note I heard Dvorak in an episode of Penny Dreadful recently. *ducks anticipating brickbats*.

Semi seriously though, surely the use of anything that's not Muzak in a context where more people will hear it is A Good Thing?

                          I read about this here.

Apparently it's to discourage the riff raff (as Basil Fawlty would say).

There is another fast food chain here that started playing Classical Music because they discovered that this tends to stop teenage hoodlums from hanging around and ruining business, per #13
