We need Gongers on this, as Dave says.

    Really enjoying the Sextet, BTW.
Interesting comments by Ezra re intonation and "sounding right". I think there are problems even with the regular scales.
In Stravinsky's Ragtime, for example, there are discords which some performers might try to smooth away, and there must be many discordant patches in pieces where there is a temptation to "correct" what the score says. These tendencies could get very complex in microtonal music.

Goffredo Petrassi - Concerto For Orchestra #8 (1970-1972)
Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra, Arturo Tamayo. Label: Stradivarius.

A very interesting but neglected 'modern' composer.

My favourite concerto is currently #8. This will no doubt change in the very near future.

It's quite hard to get hold of. I actually ordered it in HMV in Oxford Street about 6/7 years ago when it first came out. Having said that, Amazon have it in stock!

It's not available on Apple Music.

Not my usual. However, I have some affection for Crosse as his work was among the things they got us to try to perform in an elementary state school in the 1970s. Extraordinary when I think about it now and I wonder if anything similar is done for 10 year olds in 2015. I will post any further clips by him on the thread about neglected British composers.
