Snape's proms become more and more popular music and less classical every year which is depressing .
On the bright side they have some crackers this year - Benjamin Grosvenor coming to play Chopin's Second Piano Sonata , Christian Blackshaw in the last three Schubert Piano Sonatas , Alina Ibragimova in Bach and Vivaldi , the NYO and Mark Elder in Mahler 9 ( now there must be a good chance that the NYO will turn up at the Proms ) and a concert with the LPO/Pappano including Schumann 4 and Dorothea Roschmann singing the Four Last Songs - plus two concerts from the Borodin Quartet .
