    [Presenter thread]

FGS, does he EVER stop talking, babbling, interrupting, talking over others, repeating what this interviewee has just said, answering his own questions before putting them to an interviewee.

    Less is more, Tom.

No doubt he and his puppet masters think he's being approachable and accessible to the new listener - the sort who just stumble across a programme about violin makers and long-deceased harpsichord players.

Please note that a ban on using presenters' names as thread titles was introduced some while back - especially when comment is uncomplimentary. There is no wish to clamp down on comment, but remember that FoR3 does not engage in personal criticism of individual presenters, and drawing attention to an individual is better avoided.

(Not a very good substitute title - but it's only just been brought to my attention and I can't think of anything else)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Having noted FF's ruling on this matter, I should add that my comment applies to 90% of the current R3 presenters.

It's unbelievable and so frustrating because a lot of interesting material gets missed here as there is a pretty solid boycott on anything involving Mr Service. It's literally intolerable.

the main presenters on r3 are RW's legacy ...
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

From the time of your post I'd guess you must be referring to "Chatter Matters", a programme I always try to avoid.

But as a result, I was beginning to wonder who the presenter apparently acronymized as 'FGS' in the first post was.

I think it was an invocation to The Presenter...
