Mark Simpson is doing OK. The BBC Philharmonic has recently announced Mark Simpson as its new Composer in Association, starting in September 2015.

Hiya EdgeleyRob,
I'm not holding my breath. Rattle has not conducted too much British Music in Germany and what he has programmed has been largely conducted by others such as Barenboim.
