    Placido Domingo TV programme

Just testing out my Powerline links (see techie board), and noticed a programme about Placido Domingo on iPlayer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...ngo-at-the-bbc

A bit populist, but quite entertaining. Available for a little while longer I think (streaming), unless a download is possible.

Shows as 24 days availability on iOS, but rather less (only a day or a few hours) on my Humax PVR.

For me the highlight was the clip from Die Walkure at the Proms with Domingo in splendid voice despite having the oh so beautiful and charismatic Waltraud Meier draped around him (how on earth could he concentrate?). The two of them were incredible that night and I'm cross that I dumped a VHS tape I made at the time.

I enjoyed the programme. Carreras once said that he most admired Domingo's integrity as an unshakably loyal friend and his determination to remain a 'humble' (JC's word) man.

i caught the broadcast and rather wished he had not bothered with popular/stage songs and spent more time on Spanish Song and Zarzuela
