Weinberg/Vainberg was just short of 40 this year, mainly thanks to finally being COTW. Robert Simpson had his best year since I began my survey with the grand total of 2! Leighton was on 12, Choral Evensong tends to supply the majority of broadcasts. Alkan normally gets in the teens, however this year he was in single figures. Apart from when Miaskovsky was on COTW back in 2009, he's never reached half a dozen!

                              Cheers, Suffy!

What a shocking list - depressing, as Aeolium has indicated. With so much air-time and a wealth of diverse music to fill it, these highly-paid R.3 folk choose from lists so short and "safe" that repetition rules,OK?
                              OK, it is not!

I can provide R.3 with a random number generator to select tracks that fit ( and that have not been played to death).
How would I spend the money saved ? Double the number of works commissioned by R.3, and pay musicians to play this new music, not once but several times.
