Try Schoenberg Verklärte Nacht, followed by Shostakovich 10, then Dvorak American Quartet to recover!
You could throw in some Varese - maybe Offrandes in the middle - or how about some George Crumb - Ancient Voices of Children.
Mahler 5 or 9 might work - you choose which parts. The first movement of Gorecki's 3rd Symphony - which takes a long while to get going - boring or beautiful, depending on your point of view.
If your guests are really keen they'll listen, but the chances are either that none of them will, or that only one will, and there will be cries from someone in your family to "turn it down" - or "off"!
