          But it has with the symphony, as this piece from the opus 72 set of piano pieces was originally an orchestral one, found among the sketches for the Symphony in E-flat.
          Tchaikovsky did prefer to keep the piano concerto (which is the later of the two works, the 7th symphony being sketched before the Pathétique) a 3-mvt work, even though 4-mvt concertos were not unheard of (Brahms, Litolff, Saint Saens just to mention a couple).

            Any thoughts about Jurowski's recordings with the LPO? I seem to remember that there were quite a few very enthusiastic comments here when the records were released.
