SC – I'd turn up in my droves and go to every one of them. Just looking at the list prompts me to check my library for some of the more obscure ones (Respighi's Metamorphosen sounds especially intriguing).

Christopher Rouse. Symphony # 1.(or any of the other 3).

                  Harry Partch.
                  Delusion of the Fury.

What a show it would be.

Would Rattle do a good job on this ? But who with?

(or if Rattle couldn't make it, Mr GG would get something together for the Partch, I'm sure ).

                  Or if not, Marin Alsop?

Rattle's not noted for Elgar, but maybe he would.

Love that combination Beefy, two great 9ths together.

(PS its a Big Nein from almost all my Scottish family members, they don't want Rab C Nesbitt and his sidekick Jimmy Krankie ruling them!)

Most interesting, but my suggestion was to compile a balanced concert PROGRAMME, not a list of works for inclusion.

Fascinating combination Alison, will have try that one evening, would never have thought of putting those two composers together, but can see why they might well work.
