I'd wondered about that myself: on first viewing I wasn't convinced that the audio rhythm was always in synch with the visual one, though on second viewing it seemed better. Confess I hadn't thought about the number of mikes you'd need to record such a 'wide' instrument though.
Properly done, it could have been a classic on one of those old stereo demonstration discs though...I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Unlike lots of these things I do think the sound of the xylobars we hear IS what was recorded
BUT I think it's obviously been produced and probably not done in one take
and had other things added to the ambience
