Something for a Friday: All of Bach

Each Friday, the Netherlands Bach Society releases a new recording/film of a J.S. Bach piece. This schedule will continue until Bach's entire oeuvre is online. How wonderfully ambitious. How many of us will be extant to hear the final upload, I wonder?

Fantastic! Thanks Hitch. Frenchie, can this be pinned at the top of the Forum somehow so it's always there to remind/access?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

      Wonderful resource, thanks Hitch.

Just listened to The Well Tempered Clavier, Bk I, Prelude and Fugue, No 12 in F minor.

      On the harpsichord lid:

      Musica laetitiae comes medicina dolorum:

Music is a companion to joy and a medicine for pains.

Just a quick reminder that another piece was added to All of Bach yesterday. I shan't tell you what it was; not knowing is half the fun.

The website now seems to be behaving itself. Those members with a slow internet connection and a tired computer might do best to deselect the "HD" option after the video has loaded.

Only in certain counties, I believe, Padraig.

But, apart from that, verismissimo, it is indeed good news. Think 'Irish'.

Corelli finished now. I am going over to see Friday's Bach. I wish Hitch had not introduced technical hurdles.

It's Friday: another new piece has duly appeared. I do hope All of Bach will catch on. It's a wonderful enterprise.
