Cantata BWV 84; "Ich bin vergnügt mit meinem Glücke"
"I am happy with my luck" (?"My luck makes me happy"?).
A repeat video first published on the AoB website four years ago. No complaints - we're very lucky to have this facility available, and it makes me happy!
Maria Keohane is the Soprano soloist (joined by three colleagues for the final Chorale) and Fabio Bonizzoni directs the Netherlands Bach Ensemble.
For some reasons, I couldn’t open the link for the first couple of weeks. After that, I gave up. Just for luck, I thought today and tried again. It works. I have five years of Fridays to catch up!!
Many thanks for everyone who has kept this thread going.
One of Bach's "domestic hymns" for performance by devout Musicians in private. Recorded 15 months ago in the Bartolotti House, Amsterdam by Tenor Charles Daniels, with three colleagues (the organist isn't credited in the ... credits).

He's mentioned in the Interview: Menno van Delft - who features as a harpsichordist elsewhere in the series. His talk on harmonising was impressive, and his organ harmony was so concise. Dare I mention the change from major to minor? A wonderful performance.
Played by Ketil Haugsand and recorded at his house in Cologne 30 months ago, but released for the first time today. A new work for me - I can't remember ever having heard it before: I wanted it to continue onto the Allegro spiritoso next movement that I was "expecting".

I have no confidence that I'll find my way next week with this new improved website.
I agree that we have been conditioned to expect a lively next movement, but my wish, ferney, if you'll forgive me, was to hear the Adagio again...on a Steinway!
