    A beautiful piano beautifully recorded

I was offered a trawl through a collection of LPs and found one that particularly engaged my attention so I have put it on my site. It is the last item on

A beautifully sonorous piano is beautifully recorded in works which I had never heard or heard of. Boarders with wider musical knowledge than mine ( not difficult! ) may know these pieces but it would be nice if you could keep mum for a while to give the "innocent ear / blindfold test" experience a little time to develop. Checking these out on headphones was disappointing because the noise floor, virtually inaudible in the front-room amp-speaker set-up was a little intrusive.

Bump - and don't let on yet!!! :-)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

and it is interesting that my own quibble about the low frequency audible on headphones (but not in normal room listening) has found an echo in Dave2002's recent post (Recording standards and CD remastering)!
