And using my list as an example:

4 from 18 of my top ten musicians are conductors - HvK, Celi, Sir Roger and Sir Reginald

1 is a composer and conductor - Lennie (the man on the Clapham Omnibus would view him as a composer and might realise he also conducted orchestras)

3 Drummers - Ginger Baker, Tony Williams & Bill Bruford

2 Electric Bass players - Jaco & Holger

3 Vocalists - Johnny Rotten, Frank Sinatra & Freddie Mercury

1 Guitarist - James Marshall Hendrix

2 Pianists - Bill Evans & Glenn Gould

1 Trumpet-blower - Miles Davis

1 Saxophonist - Ornette Coleman

Most of these musicians were significant composers.
