No mention of Steely Dan? Been listening to a lot of them recently, prompted by watching the opening episode of Breaking Bad whose story recalled their Kid Charlemagne. Possibly Aja is their best, but all albums are worth a listen. And anything by Joni Mitchell, but especially The Hissing of Summer Lawns. That will suffice for me.

I bought the LP in the 1980s to give it a go, but never got on with it
I played it last month and I thought it was better than I remember.

I agree however that 'Reeling in the Years' and 'Do It Again' would be high up in any all time top 100 singles. I don't know what they sound like but the name of one of their tribute acts 'Nearly Dan' is good. As a final aside - Tribute Bands - seem to be very popular, probably many of them competent musicians - but to regurgitate the same stuff night after night, note for note as close to the original - Why?
Cross purposes, I'm afraid Cloughie !!
But good info anyway !
Tribute bands? never seen one. There seem to be a few who do a good trade round here, especially T rextasy. Not for me though.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
