Yup - in this box, as fillers for the last three (Mono) symphonies:

Have you got the new Threni yet, ferney?
      If so, any thoughts?

Ehem ... err ... well, yes, indeed ... so to speak ... of course, and notwithstanding (albeit ...

In other words: since posting my "unmissable" comment three-and-a-half weeks ago, I'd forgotten all about it! - only being reminded when I saw my own post and wondered what was "unmissable", and who had made such a recommendation! Bit short measure, innit? - Under 48 minutes; they could/should've added either the reamaining Canciones as you mentioned, and/or the Canticum Sanctum as well.

Indeed 48 minutes is very poor measure, even with something as concentrated as Threni as one of the components.
The Canticum Sanctum is a new one on me, though!

Not everywhere !....... Per N has begun to tickle my PRoACs in the last couple of days ( 1/8 VPO Oramo ) and the Storgards / Dausgaard recordings have been promised for loan by musical friends.

Enjoy the journey. Agree with Jayne, the two Storgårds discs are exceptional in every way. Hard to understand why this music isn't better known. Nørgård's opera, Der göttliche Tivoli, is one of the most extraordinary things I've ever heard. Well worth investigating. The sound on these Dacapo releases is top notch, too.

I'm very interested in these new Nørgård recordings. Nos. 4 and 5 are favourites of mine; I find 1 not quite fully individual, 2 more like a diagram of a piece of music than a piece of music if you know what I mean, 3 quite beautiful until it turns very silly indeed, and 6-8 I haven't got to grips with really as yet. Looking forward to hearing them.

Well, with that recommendation and the enthusiasm of Jayne, Richard (I think) (and Andrew McGregor a few weeks ago), how could one resist? Duly ordered - thanks, Jayne, for reminding us of their release.

Sorry if I seemed lukewarm. I think nos. 4 and 5 are some of the most powerful and original orchestral music of their time. Not to be missed.

This looks like an interesting new Satie cycle on BIS, played on an Erard piano of the period. I like the sound on these samples...

Satie: Piano Music, Vol. 1. BIS: BIS2215. Buy SACD or download online. Noriko Ogawa (piano)

I agree with Andew (RR 2/7/16) that the cover on this Telemann CD is very odd. The excerpts played were very enticing though - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CTMJP...7451819&sr=8-5 I think the cover would really put me off.

Other recorder/flute music in today's RR very interesting too.
