Decca have released 50 "most wanted" operatic and vocal recital discs - never previously released on CD (although some material has been e.g. in their Grandi Voci series). They look marvellous. The complete list is on Presto. I'd much rather they'd released them all as a bargain box but you can't have everything. I still wait in vain for the Christina Deutekom two-disc recital devoted to Verdi, Bellini and Donizetti. It was a Philips release but they are part of the same stable so maybe it'll turn up in future batches.

A recent release is a 12 CD set conducted by István Kertész. Perhaps not so many are interested in the performances by this conductor nowadays. http://www.prestoclassical.co.uk/r/Decca/4786420

THis looks like a really interesting new release:
Malcolm Williamson Complete Piano Concertos.
Buy Williamson: The Complete Piano Concertos by Piers Lane; Howard Shelley: Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra from Amazon's Classical Music Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders.
Can't say I care for the cover much, but that is a mere detail of course.
Norm's not too taken with the CD.
The website for classical music: Find the latest DG and Archiv recordings and news. Biographies, concerts and videos about artists, conductors and composers.
But Rob Barnett thinks its a belter.#
apologies if flagged up elsewhere.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.

Though I suspect some his overtures are still missing - and while they were at it why not incude the earlier excellent VPO New World.
