Thanks for the alert (I don't like 'heads-up'!): it does indeed.
Though rather poor value at only 43 minutes!
            Here's the Presto listing:

Stravinsky: Violin Concerto & Chamber Works. Harmonia Mundi: HMM902718. Buy CD or download online. Isabelle Faust (violin), François-Xavier Roth, Les Siècles

Enticing, indeed. I certainly intend to listen via QOBUZ, once it's released

The tempting-looking new release of Mozart's Prussian Quartets from the Chiaroscuru offers exactly twice the length at 86 mins.

It may seem undesirable to highlight this again, given the wilfully misleading booklet note by the cellist regarding the supposed superiority of analogue recording techniques, no mention of the carrier being itself digital etc etc....not to mention the (I hope intentional) comedy of the coverline.

But it turns out to be a wonderful reading of the sonatas, in very immediate, full, rich wide-ranging sound. These are subtle and rhythmically agile, moderate tempi (15'44 for 1st movement of the E Minor) but again a beautifully-judged rubato and sensitive micro-dynamics. I warmed to them (and the distinctive balance) more and more as I listened repeatedly; they draw you in, and the unusual c/w is compelling too.
Only caveats: perhaps the piano could offer greater tonal variety; the passionato of No.2 isn't really impassioned enough; but to be fair, it accords with the interpretive approach.

                      Presto: December 16 2022

Has anyone else (Alison?) been following the ongoing saga of the Haitink/Concertgebouw box release date? By my count there have been EIGHT changes in the release date!

                      As of now:
Decca Classics website: release date of February 10.
                      Amazon: March 10
                      Presto: March 10

However, my order is with Presto who have e-mailed to say it is 'unexpectedly out of stock' at the supplier (???) and delivery now expected in two weeks.

Bearing in mind that the original release date was October 16 and Presto took my payment that same month, this has been the most frustrating release saga I've ever had. It might not be all over yet!

One of the notable points about listening via streaming or on Audirvana is that one is almost entirely unconscious of the length of a record. That anger welling inside you at the feeling of being ripped off just no longer exists!

Looks interesting doesn't it? Never really got on with Fire or Ecstasy, feels like a good time to revisit any of (my preferred) first three...
Try to fit it in later....(apt match for Bruckner and Messaien at least...)

A rather odd download (at least in my opinion) available from 3 February 2023.

I can't really imagine who this is aimed at, but I'm currently listening to the Miraculous Mandarin (early preparation for a potential Summer BaL), as this set has found its way onto Deezer.

It's a sort of digital download Volume 1 of the mega-Abbado box being released by Universal next Friday. It has been split into 16 parts, starting with the Bach and Bartók last week and proceeding to Beethoven symphonies this week. See https://www.deutschegrammophon.com/e...and-decca-2369 for further info

Ah: that makes a bit more sense.
Buy a part a week, rather like those educational magazines I used to get each Friday from the newsagent!
