Not brave enough to nominate the Piano Quintet though, ooops too late
          While we're at it,Symphonies 3 & 12 too.

It sounds it, too. It's on offer from eCassical, and can be also be found on QOBUZ. Presto Classical show the CD as being available from them, too. Roth has also recorded the 1st Symphony, derived from 'Titan', with the SWRSO.

I'm pleased to see that Australian Eloquence are releasing a CD of recordings by Raymond Agoult including the Clair de Lune album, first an RCA LP and later on the Decca World of … label. No not world shattering or innovative but lovely music lovingly played - the Bantock arrangement of Bach's Wachet Auf still moves me after all these years!

It's Record of the week at 11:20 on this morning's Record Review; the schedule doesn't say which 'bleeding chunk' will be aired.

I was pleased to hear that Naxos are releasing volume 52 of the ongoing Liszt series which includes the fearsome Maisello tarantella in both versions. Looking forward to getting this in the post soon (preordered it earlier in the week)
                    Best regards,
                    Jonathan

First impressions.... fascinating at the very least.... such densely wrought music, complex of mood and texture, fluid of form.....
More later I hope....perhaps on its own thread.... but this will take some getting to know...!
(The 8th has not yet had a commercial release...)

Thanks to Edge for the tipoff on this one...

It's on Qobuz - but I've only heard the low res version.

Listened on Spoty. Came across nicely. I am very pleased to have had the chance to hear it, but I won't be buying the disc. I'm not a fan of these de luxe editions. They clearly see this as a historically important issue and the Berlin Phil's own label have gone to town on presentation (with consequent price level) but as it appears in the links above it seems to have an elongated shape (a bit like an oversized chequebook) which means it won't fit on a normal CD shelf. Maybe better suited to the coffee table.

I also note that they have not felt obliged to include a filler. This strikes me as a rather arrogant option. Maybe they do not wish to sully the purity of the whole endeavour. I have seven recordings on CD and all have fillers, eg:

Romeo and Juliet - Fantasy Overture
                              (Andrew Litton)
                              Marche slave
                              (Mikhail Pletnev)
                              Tod Und Verklärung
                              (Arturo Toscanini)
                              Vaughan Williams 4th Symphony
                              (Leonard Bernstein)
