Bryn warned me 18 months ago, I didn't learn then!

Hopefully there's a D.A. branch in my area that I can join.

    And you're a bad influence ............

Checking my order history, I have bought around 300 downloads from qobuz since 2017 (12 months), ranging from sets like the Boulez Sony Edition through DG, BIS etc, to the cheaper Naxos. I think it's reasonable to put an average download price of £9.50. £2,800 per annum. How much is a Sublime membership?

Update: Sublime is £249 per annum. I spend 5/6 times more, not 4/5 times more per annum than Sublime membership - but that wasn't what you meant, was it?
I assume that 5/6 means 5 or 6 not actually four fifths. Similarly for 4/5. Do you really spend (say) £1250-£1500 per annum on downloads?

Beats my spending on CDs by quite a big margin, though I might spend that and more on going to live performances (theatre, opera, concerts) some years.

I'm cured. I will be buying no more than 2 music downloads per month from now on. If super-bargains come along in any format, then I'll augment my purchases, ad hoc.

Sadly it will massively duplicate what I already have, so I will probably miss out on this.

And for anyone who missed out on JEGger's Philips Berlioz recordings, they have been collected into a handy 9 disc (8 CDs + 1 DVD) box due to be released in a couple of weeks:

... mostly ORR, but I think that the Lyon Opera recordings (IIRC, Faust) is/are also included - which I believe means that the "Berlioz on Period Instruments" tagline isn't entirely accurate?

The River People think it isn't due out until March:

                  .

... 2019 will be the 150th anniversary of Berlioz's death [1803-1869], so I expect we'll get a fair amount of repackaged goodies this year.

A few years back I went through a big Berlioz phase - including a pilgrimage to his birthplace at La Côte Saint-André - I think I'm ready for another immersion...

In case it hasn't been mentioned on these boards yet, there are performances of Damnation of Faust (Elder; 10 Feb) and Béatrice and Bénédict (Ludovic Morlot; 16 Feb) at the Bridgwater Hall. I need to visit a relative in Manchester and would like to try the Hall, and really enjoy Berlioz.

Coming soon, a new recording of Shostakovich's 2 piano version of his 4th Symphony. I reckon it will have to be pretty special to challenge that on Chandos, from Rustem Hayroudinoff and Colin Stone:
