Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but in the light of recent Live events, the new CD of Andrew Davis' coupling of RVW's Job with the Ninth Symphony might be of interest to many Forumistas. The orchestra is the Bergen Phil, on the CHANDOS label.
Cheaper this month from Europadisc, though.Numquam Satis!

Unfortunately the Fairfield Halls are currently unavailable, which may account for the slowdown.

This was very positively reviewed in today's Gramophone (PQ, March)....
First taping on period instruments, Vienna 1950. I didn't need telling twice... ordered straight away... ... couldn't see a download anywhere... Supraphon's own site might list it.
(Reviews on the Amazon page, BTW, are not for this - completely muxed ip!)Last edited by jayne lee wilson; 26-02-17, 16:12.
