    Yes, another good one!
There are some excellent Rattle Ravel recordings!

Very hard to top Crespin and Baker.

Completely forgotten about and not mentioned in the woefully inadequate index in the booklet that comes with that Warner set!
        I'd also forgotten about
        Jennie Tourel/Columbia SO/Bernstein
in a French Masterpieces compilation; it's not a prime contender, though.

Streamed the Ewing yesterday, and found her a bit squally in Asie.
Baker, Harper, and Otter on headphones (from my iPod) revealed the JB squared combination to be absolutely exquisite: they seem to be in complete accord. There was a nasty moment at the very end of a high note in the Otter, and the Harper was not quite as good as I'd remembered, either; must (re)listen to the Créspin soon.

Maître Jacques, is the Danco recording you have in mind also with Ansermet (though not the Suisse Romande orchestra, but the Paris Conservatoire)?
What a lovely recording that is. One I don’t have! The one I do have though is part of DG’s Conductors & Orchestra Series. This has Anne Sofie von Otter, Cleveland Orchestra, and Pierre Boulez.
