I haven't listened to this recording for a while . I am intrigued though - sounds like the last thing Szell would have allowed !

As I say, I could well be wrong; it's just that something doesn't sound quite right in at this point - it may be nothing; it may be the recording itself, but I don't notice the same thing on other recordings of this.....

I'd be delighted to be further enlightened.
