Having acquired the Boston/Davis Sibelius cycle, I've embarked on it, starting at the beginning. To be honest, I've never much enjoyed the first symphony, and the Davis hasn't changed my opinion. Too loud and obvious, it seems to me.

It appeared on BBC Legends but I think it is a much sought after disc these days.
