Since the ICA sale has been mentioned recently - in connection with a Klemperer set - here is another one - https://icaclassics.com/releases/otto-klemperer-4-cds - containing Brahms 2.

I've no idea if it's any good, but it's low outlay.

I remember this from my mono LP, bought in 1965. Beautifully played and recorded, but marred by a touch of tape wow in the finale. I wonder whether it’s an issue on today’s CDs?

I didn’t notice it when listening to the Eloquence CD this afternoon but I did find the recording of the brass in the finale a bit harsh - everything else sounded splendid .

What a terrific performance it is though - a particularly affecting slow movement I thought .

If still available I would snap the set up.
