Since the subject came up, I gave the Zinman/ Tonhalle a spin today.
I think it has much to recommend it. Good choir, and the Credo is excellent. I like the Zinman's typically brisk tempos in this.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Glancing back through this revived thread (with memories of the now defunct Thropplenoggin!) I seem to have already said what I have to say on this topic. I was interested to note that I was alone in mentioning what I find to be a very worthwhile Colin Davis version coupled with Mass in C.
