I have the Rubinstein, and Nina Milkina's 1970 Wigmore Hall recording on Unterschrift Classics. Is this still available, I wonder?

Will be a bit silly if it is just complete sets, I feel. How can you not consider Ignaz Friedman and Horowitz, when doing Chopin's mazurkas?
David Owen-Norris...hmm...don't think he'll chose Rubinstein or Ashkenazy somehow. Tends to chose less well-known recent performers.

I find them a bit boring laid end to end. Much prefer mixed Chopin recitals on record, which, if I remember rightly, was the way Ashkenazy approached the business.

I agree, though if you wnat to collect a composer's complete works, this is a simpler way to do it.

No Fou Ts'ong listed - hmm, he's still my number one for the Mazurkas.

              Fou Ts'ong
              Janusz Oleniczak
              Tatiana Shebanova

The big brilliant 30 CD box of Chopin has Cor de Groot on an 1847 Pleyel for the Mazurkas.

Which - RCA LP stereo or HMV 78 mono? I have the latter in CD transfers (oops, 2 copies - HMV and Naxos - how did I do that?) and am in no rush to change, particularly when I have plenty of other performances scattered around in mixed recitals.
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Are there three complete sets from Rubinstein? There certainly are with much of his main Chopin repertoire.

Anyone know which versions are in the recent budget box (Regis or Brilliant, I can't remember which, but saw in a record shop last week)?

I think there are recordings from the 1930s, the 1950s, and the 1960s, on (respectively) vols 6, 27, and 50 of the RCA Rubinstein edition.
