I doubt they would rebroadcast it (policy) if it's now over 25 years old. In fact, one has a nasty suspicion that recordings that old eventually just 'disappear'. I think I read that the BBC has farmed out its recording rights to some commercial firm to produce the equivalent of BBC Legends.

I'm sure if you wrote to Roger Wright c/o Radio 3 you would get an informed reply about the situation.
