I think the desire to diversify reviewers is laudable but I understand Allyson Devenish specialises in opera and song - surely that’s where she should be reviewing ?

Looking at Allyson Devenish's twitter feed from 26 Feb to date, the word "Trio" appears once in the plug for Record Review. I guess reviewing trios are very low down in her priorities!

I afraid I must agree with all those who thought this BaL poor.

I would add the Mozartean Players to the list of excellent period performances already mentioned. In addition to them I have Schiff et al, Cortot, Casals and Thibaud and the first Beaux Arts recording. Nothing in this BaL persuaded me that I needed to add to them.

I don't like the new start time either; completely messes up my Saturday routine.

Five star review by Andrew Clements in the Guardian for the B flat Trio, D898 and the E flat Trio, D929 (and other works) recorded by Lars Vogt, Christian Tetzlaff and Tanja Tetzlaff.
