A pity Nathalie Stutzmann's excellent 5CD Schuman collection on RCA is deleted. I got it for £19 in 2012. Still around from certain sellers at a higher price.

A favourite contralto, whose Schubert cycles I also like very much.

The separate volumes II, IV and V are to be found on QOBUZ. No sign of volumes I or III, though.

Really? How is a duo cheaper than a solo?

          Strangely patchy availability.

Stutzmann/Schumann completists will also want her earlier recital with complete Myrthen and the Maria Stuart songs accompanied by Michel Dalberto. Both Erato original and Apex reissue deleted but available quite reasonably from Amazon sellers.

If I recall correctly, because AM is already in the studio, you don't have to pay for the separate studio time for the expert to record their piece offline, you just bring them in

Recently they have been pre-recorded as duos so that doesn't hold. Further, the experts have been recording from home, hence the occasional awful sound.

I wonder what the cost per hour of a basic audio studio is these days - I’m guessing a minimum of £350 per hour . I know that a small audio studio just over the road from the BBC was £240 an hour six hours ago with sound op. Back in the 80’s I can remember being kept waiting very often for 30 mins into a studio booking - sometimes even longer. I bet that never happens know . Mind you I once went to a Soho dubbing theatre where the sound op told me some movie moguls had bought the entire suite for a day complete with hi quality audio links to Los Angeles to do a conference call. This was before internet links and that would have cost thousands. The money spent on sound in the film business makes speech radio look like a cottage industry.

But the BBC have their own studios. I used to use them often.
